Washington Technology Solutions (WaTech) is working to implement, support and broker cloud services for consumption by state agencies, county, city, and tribal governments as well as nonprofits.  Part of this effort includes:

  • Establishing single sign-on to SaaS applications
  • Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication to allow secure external access to sensitive data
  • Providing secure data exchange within email
  • Self-service password reset for end users

In addition to the above, WaTech will also be implementing the following:

  • A shared Office 365 tenant
  • A secure dedicated network to cloud providers
  • Office 365 feature sets such as:
    • SharePoint Online
    • Project Online
    • OneDrive
  • Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and other IaaS and PaaS services

The project team is currently working to develop a plan and schedule.  Future updates will be provided on this project website as work progresses.   WaTech’s communications strategy includes:

  • Regular communications
  • Supporting documentation for customers
  • Upcoming events to learn more

WaTech’s first communication, Cloud Enablement, Our Strategy, is intended to provide customers with a high level synopsis of the WaTech strategy for Cloud Enablement.
