The Office Virtual Private Network (VPN) Service provides a secure, cost-effective way to connect small and branch offices to your agency’s main network through a local Internet Service Provider (ISP), such as CenturyLink or Comcast. Your agency’s primary network location must be on the State Government Network (SGN) or the Intergovernmental Network (IGN).

Features and Benefits: 

Small Branch Office supports a small, remote office of 2-10 employees. This allows up to 13 network devices (such as PCs, servers or printers) to connect. Complete the Branch Office VPN Request Form and email it to the WaTech Support Center to schedule a consultation and plan a solution that best matches your needs.

Large Branch Office supports 10-250 employees. Complete the Branch Office VPN Request Form and email it to WaTech Support Center to schedule a consultation and plan a solution that best matches your needs.

Site-to-Site allows a server, host, or device to communicate with another server, host, or device over a secured channel. This service is designed to support the automated, system, or batch transfer of data between two devices. (For example: an agency might collect data electronically in the field and transmit it back to a data center for compilation.) Complete the Site-to-Site VPN Request Form and email it to WaTech Support Center to schedule a consultation and plan a solution that best matches your needs.

Fees for Service: 

Office VPN is a subscription service billed monthly. Billing occurs only in the months when services are provided.

One time setup fee (for agency initial setup) $180 (billed upon service initiation)
Branch office monthly service fee (addresses used, customer/WaTech owned equipment) 16 addresses - $185/$250 per month
32 addresses - $300/$400 per month
64 addresses - $370/$500 per month
255 addresses - $600/$600 per month
Site-to-Site monthly service fee $185 per month

How to Order: 

New Customers

To obtain services from WaTech, eligible organizations must enter into a Master Service Agreement (MSA).

All customer inquiries including new customers, current customers, and service cancellations:

For new service, complete the Site-to-Site VPN Request Form or Branch Office VPN Request Form and email it to the WaTech Support Center. To change or cancel existing service, email the WaTech Support Center or call 855-WaTech1 or 360.586.1000 and ask to open a service request for changing Network services or cancelling Network service.

WaTech staff will contact you to capture detailed requirements and necessary information for your request, answer questions, and to plan for the requested service or cancellation.
