Centrex is a generic term for central office based telephone services. WaTech Centrex service includes free calling within the local exchange area, access to the state’s long distance network, and access to the local operator and emergency services. WaTech Centrex offerings include an abbreviated dialing plan (3, 4, or 5 digits) that can be used to dial between any two phones that are in Centrex. Access to a voice messaging system is available at reduced rates.

WaTech has established contracts for Centrex services with CenturyLink and Frontier. These contracts meet the State requirements for competition and are available for use by customers eligible for WaTech services.

Port Angeles, Port Orchard, Port Townsend, and Walla Walla $33 per line per month
Ephrata and Moses Lake $36 per line per month
Frontier serving areas

$23 per line per month. Rate changes to $27.50 effective September 1, 2015.

How to Order: 

In an effort to improve our accuracy in providing and billing WaTech telephone services, we have launched a new online Centrex Services order form and standardized the ordering process. Two critical pieces of information are your WaTech Customer ID/Agency ID number and account ID. If you are not familiar with these two numbers, please check with the authorized purchasing representative within your agency, the telecommunication coordinator within your agency, or contact the WaTech Support Center 855.WaTech1 or 360.586.1000.
