SecureAccess Washington provides self-administered single sign-on access to multiple agency applications, shields online services from harmful activity, and allows access only to known users.

To use a service or application protected by SecureAccess Washington, you must provide a user ID and password – its authentication mechanism. The agency owner of the service is responsible for allowing or denying access and for verifying individuals' identities.

Some agencies use SecureAccess Washington to provide selective access to their online documents or services. Examples of these documents and services include Paid Family Medical Leave, SEBB MyAccount, and Driver License Renewals.

Features/Benefits:

Single sign-on for individuals doing business with Washington state provides ease of use for end-users by reducing the number of accounts and logins to state resources. State security policy for authentication is easily enforced on the single identity provider of SecureAccess Washington, which is centrally controlled by Washington state.

Tech Specs:

  • Agency applications hosted in the cloud must be able to integrate via SAML 2.0.
  • Use of WaTech F5 services may also be required for reverse proxy if the agency application is SGN hosted but wishes to use SAML 2.0 as the integration method.
  • Agency use of SAW’s reverse proxy for applications hosted within the SGN is aided by a developer's guide provided by the SGS team.
