Shane Swanson will join WaTech's state Office of Cybersecurity (OCS) as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for Policy & Program Management starting Aug. 5, 2021.
Shane has more than 16 years of experience in cybersecurity and is currently the Deputy CISO for the Texas Department of Information Resources. Previous roles included working a s a strategic cybersecurity advisor for the North Dakota Technology

As Deputy CISO, Shane will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise security program charter for OCS, spearhead the office's risk management program and advance our goals for whole-of-state cybersecurity.
