Overview

This service enables secure, authenticated access to the State Government Network (SGN). The service interconnects the various networks that exist between the capital campus network, agencies and their remote office locations.

Business value

Secure Connectivity is the dedicated network infrastructure (i.e. Network Core, Firewalls, Internet Service) and management services that support the enterprise IT environment used to securely transport data between customers on and off the state government network. Examples of data transport on and off the SGN include Virtual Private Network (VPN) capabilities and agency private cloud services i.e. Cloud Highway. This service provides the protection of sensitive data in transport. Connections are safe and reliable to access essential systems and resources, reducing the risks of breaches security events.
