The table below contains reports published within the last three years. Please contact communications@watech.wa.gov to request reports older than three years.

Note: In 2024, the Legislature passed SHB 1947, which eliminated the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and incorporated all duties and responsibilities to WaTech, as well as renamed the agency from Consolidated Technology Services (CTS) to WaTech. Previous references to the OCIO or CTS should be understood to refer to WaTech.

State of Washington Generative Artificial Intelligence Report 10/16/2024

As required under Executive Order 24-01 on Artificial Intelligence, this report provides an assessment of potential generative AI initiatives pertinent to agency operations and objectives, as well as the feasibility, benefits, and challenges of integrating generative AI into agency operations and services. This report also includes a plan and timeline for WaTech to establish the infrastructure to conduct pilots of projects involving generative AI technology, including approved environments to test such projects.

IMP From Legacy to Leading Edge September 2024

This report on the Innovation & Modernization Program, required by Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5187 provides a detailed look at the estimated and actual costs, project timelines, and business results of the approved projects. It also shares lessons learned and provides recommendations for future project proposals, emphasizing the importance of early planning, strategic vendor relationships, and active program oversight.

WaTech Performance Dashboard Quarterly

Per RCW 43.105.11, WaTech is required to produce a quarterly dashboard that includes information about service delivery, cost, operational efficiencies, and overall customer satisfaction. The first dashboard was created and submitted in January 2017.
