The prestigious NASCIO awards program, now in its 27th consecutive year, honors outstanding information technology achievements in the public sector.

"Being a NASCIO finalist is a tremendous honor. The NASCIO awards program helps us do something in IT we want to get better at: celebrate our successes," said Washington State CIO, Michael Cockrill. "I'm extremely proud of the teams behind these initiatives that have risen to the national IT stage. Their commitment to innovate and achieve outstanding results is inspiring. We want inspiration to go viral in the Washington state IT community."

"All of the nominations exemplify the vital, and often unsung roles IT plays in state government. The judges have a tough job in narrowing them down," said James Collins, NASCIO Awards Committee co-chair and CIO of the state of Delaware.
