Iain Sloan is the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis board IT Operations and Security Manager. An IT Veteran has a career spanning 40 years, starting with large IBM mini computers, through bringing in the first IBM PC’s, networks, replacement for those old aging systems while working at his first job in a West of Scotland Steelworks. Having subsequently worked for the Stakis Group (now Hilton UK) local Government and VAR’s in Scotland until 2001 when he moved to Texas (where his wife is from) and spent the next 17 years working for the State of Texas’ biggest Agency. The call of the Mountains, Lakes, Rivers, Trees and coastal waters of his homeland drew his family to Western Washington in 2018. Before moving to LCB in 2021, Iain worked for the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
