NASCIO announces Bill Kehoe’s appointment to Executive Committee

The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) has announced its executive leadership for the 2025-26 program year. Among those named to the Executive Committee is Bill Kehoe, Chief Information Officer for Washington state.

As a NASCIO Executive Committee member, Bill will help shape cross-state technology initiatives.

Bill has served as WaTech’s director and the state CIO since 2021, bringing more than two decades of experience in state and local government technology leadership. He has been a member of NASCIO’s Executive Committee since March 2025, filling an interim vacancy, and will continue to serve as a director for the new term.

Bill has a long record of leadership within the CIO community. Prior to his state service, he held multiple leadership roles with the Metropolitan Information Exchange (MIX), a national organization of local government CIOs, including president, vice president, and secretary. He has also hosted and spoken at numerous Digital Government and Leadership Conferences and co-chairs the State and Local Government Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) Committee in Washington.

As co-chair of NASCIO’s Artificial Intelligence Committee, Bill has advanced member discussions on responsible AI adoption and continues to integrate NASCIO’s priorities into Washington’s enterprise IT strategy. His podcast, Coffee with Kehoe, regularly features topics aligned with NASCIO’s strategic goals, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and cross-state learning.
