Data Privacy Week helps spread awareness about online privacy and educates people on how to manage their personal information and keep it secure. The celebration culminates with Data Privacy Day on Jan. 28.
Gov. Jay Inslee has proclaimed Jan. 28 as Data Privacy Day in Washington state. To celebrate and recognize the day, the State Office of Privacy and Data Protection (OPDP) is hosting a webinar on Jan. 27 about privacy legislation and trends at the state and federal level. The webinar will provide an update on how policymakers are attempting to build stronger privacy protections for consumers and Washington state residents.
OPDP also will host an online Kahoot! data privacy quiz game on Jan. 28 and will answer questions and provide information on the Washington State Agency Privacy Principles.
