The Employment Security Department has successfully replaced a nearly 30-year-old computer system that processes unemployment taxes.
The modern system features:
- Fast and efficient data processing.
- Intuitive user interfaces and automated workflow.
- Powerful reporting tools.
- State-of-the art security and reliability.
- ADA compliance (Section 508).
- Flexibility to adapt to future changes in law.
The second phase of the project will replace the computer system that processes unemployment-benefit claims. The two phases will integrate to form a unified Unemployment Tax & Benefits (UTAB) computer system.
