The Enterprise Services Desktop Support team partnered with South Puget Sound Community College to develop an internship program. In the past two years, 13 students have completed the program, with 12 continuing voluntarily beyond their initial commitment.
Nine students are currently interning. Seven of the former interns are now working for the state. The success of the program has garnered national attention from two publications and earned the internship coordinator at Enterprise Services a prestigious award.
The internship program will be presented at a conference in May 2014 as a best practice for state community and technical colleges.
