WaTech's Enterprise Cloud Computing Program (ECCP) this week announced new updates to the Cloud Learning Platform, hosted by Pluralsight. This industry-leading learning platform offers thousands of online training courses covering a diverse set of topics, not just cloud technologies.
To date, the platform is onboarding 43 agencies, with approximately 2,900 state IT professionals already enrolled. These updates are part of the ECCP's ongoing commitment to ensuring the state's IT workforce stays equipped with the latest skills as we continue our state’s transformation to cloud technologies.
What’s new?
Personalized home page: The Pluralsight home page is now uniquely tailored for state employees. It highlights courses currently enrolled in and tracks training progress. For example, if a goal is set for 45 minutes of training per week, the employee's homepage will display: “X/45 minutes completed this week.” This feature makes it easier than ever to stay on top of learning goals.
Curated learning paths for cloud roles: Curated learning paths designed for 12 distinct cloud roles have been introduced, structured by skill levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. This new structure ensures quick and easy access to content relevant to specific job responsibilities and professional development goals.
AI assistant: A brand-new AI-powered assistant is now available on the platform to enhance the learning experience. With this assistant, students can:
- Search for courses, hands-on labs, and other learning content.
- Get technical explanations for complex topics.
- Quickly create personalized learning plans and content playlists to keep their education on track.
What’s next?
We’re working on integrating Pluralsight with the state’s Learning Management System (LMS). Once complete, this integration will consolidate all completed training into a single location alongside other professional development content. This means there will be a unified training transcript—providing a comprehensive record in one place.
