Endpoint security defined

In network security, endpoint security is the practice of protecting entry points (or endpoints) of end-user devices from malicious actors. Common endpoints include desktop or laptop computers, mobile devices, printers and even ATM machines. Organizations use an endpoint security system to give them the ability to detect and respond to security events within their network environments.
