Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)

Connecting agencies to better serve Washington

The Enterprise Data Platform helps Washington state agencies securely share data, collaborate across programs, and turn information into better decisions for residents.

Why EDP Exists and How the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) connects data across agencies

EDP helps agencies securely share data across systems so leaders can see patterns across agencies, understand what works, and improve services statewide. The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) is authorized to support data up to Category 4*,  including FedRAMP and FERPA-aligned data.

How EDP works

Today, agencies often report and manage data in different formats and timelines, which makes it difficult to see statewide performance and requires manual effort to connect information.

What Agencies Can Do With EDP

With the Enterprise Data Platform, agencies can:

  • Share data securely across agencies.
  • Build shared dashboards and reporting.
  • Automate data pipelines and analysis.
  • Improve consistency in statewide reporting.

EDP connects systems across government so agencies can collaborate without replacing their existing systems.

Impact for Washington Residents

When agencies share trusted data:

  • Services become more consistent across state agencies.
  • Service and permitting gaps are identified faster.
  • Transparency and accountability improve in government performance.

Support Options

EDP meets agencies where they are while maximizing shared statewide resources.

Self Service

Hybrid Support

Full Support*

Agency teams manage their own data and analytics using EDP resources, documentation, and office hours.

Agency teams manage some work while the EDP team provides guidance, consultation, and targeted technical assistance.

For select projects, EDP may provide hands-on implementation support, including data engineering and analytics assistance. Availability depends on funding, capacity, and project priorities.

Full Support is not always available and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis based on funding, staffing, and program priorities.

Funding and Participation

Participation and support models are determined collaboratively based on these factors.
