Notice: applying this to your agency.
The IT Project Resources are not meant to replace your agency’s internal project management practices or prescribe how you must operate. Instead, they offer concepts and tools that can strengthen delivery by providing a scalable framework for project level coordination. All project documentation should be maintained throughout each stage in alignment with agency policies and, where applicable, WaTech requirements and oversight expectations.
Confirm that all detailed testing activities have been completed in accordance with the phases and test types defined in the approved Detail Test Plan (e.g., Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance Testing). Completion should reflect the scope, approach, and criteria previously reviewed and approved.
Validate that all exit criteria, pass/fail criteria, and applicable metrics have been satisfied. Ensure all deliverables identified in the Detail Test Plan are finalized, approved, and stored appropriately. Update the Requirements Traceability Matrix to reflect full coverage and completion of testing activities.
For Programs:
Verify the results of any coordinated, cross‑agency detailed testing efforts (e.g., Interface Testing, End‑to‑End Testing) and confirm enterprise readiness. Ensure all critical defects have been resolved or that a documented and approved path to resolution exists.
For Projects:
Complete a Test Completion Certification for each applicable test phase and/or test type. This certification must summarize testing results, identify all outstanding defects with associated priorities, and document any approved workarounds that must remain in place until resolution. At minimum, the certification must be signed by the Executive Sponsor, Business Owner, Test Manager, and Operations Manager to ensure shared understanding of what is included at go‑live.
