S9: Final Closeout and Post Implementation Review Summary

Notice: applying this to your agency.

The IT Project Resources are not meant to replace your agency’s internal project management practices or prescribe how you must operate. Instead, they offer concepts and tools that can strengthen delivery by providing a scalable framework for project level coordination. All project documentation should be maintained throughout each stage in alignment with agency policies and, where applicable, WaTech requirements and oversight expectations.

This task completes the final closeout activities by preparing the Post Implementation Review (PIR) Report. The PIR summarizes all closeout work, evaluates post‑launch performance, and documents lessons learned. Agencies, programs, and projects use this report to confirm that objectives were met, identify improvement opportunities, and formally close the project or program as part of Stage 9 stabilization. Finalize project closeout activities by completing a Post Implementation Review (PIR) Report which completes and summarizes all your closeout activities, including lessons learned.
