Instead, they offer concepts and tools that can strengthen delivery by providing a scalable framework for project level coordination. All project documentation should be maintained throughout each stage in alignment with agency policies and, where applicable, WaTech requirements and oversight expectations.
Early engagement with WaTech ensures projects receive timely guidance on statewide architecture, security, and technology standards. During Stage 0, agencies connect with WaTech to determine whether a Technology Review is required and begin preparing materials that support architectural alignment and enterprise decision‑making. This early step reduces downstream risk and ensures projects start with clear expectations.
