For National Library Week I'm dropping in at libraries near my meetings to try transform my work environment. Today I'm working from the Seattle Public Library's Northgate branch, following a morning meeting with the Office of the Education Ombuds.
The Education Ombuds helps families (over a thousand a year) navigate issues in the education system. Like most of WA government they keep careful case records, and publish annual data reports on trends, counts, and needs.
The Northgate branch has a dedicated computer room for mobile workers and students, with power outlets, ample desk space, and free wifi throughout. I plugged in my EV just 2 blocks away at Northgate and settled in for undisturbed work time.
