Notice: applying this to your agency.
The IT Project Resources are not meant to replace your agency’s internal project management practices or prescribe how you must operate. Instead, they offer concepts and tools that can strengthen delivery by providing a scalable framework for project level coordination. All project documentation should be maintained throughout each stage in alignment with agency policies and, where applicable, WaTech requirements and oversight expectations.
The focus shifts from delivering training to evaluating whether the training was effective and whether users are genuinely prepared for go‑live. This task goes beyond simple attendance tracking; it assesses whether users can perform the required tasks, navigate the system confidently, and understand the new processes they will rely on. Agencies and programs must review completion data, user feedback, assessment results, and any indicators of proficiency to determine whether additional support is needed. For solutions that impact external customers, this evaluation must also consider whether customer‑facing materials were accessible, clear, and sufficient to prepare them for the change. Programs with agency‑led sub‑projects consolidate training effectiveness data submitted by each agency, while enterprise programs synthesize results across the entire user population. The goal is to identify readiness gaps, determine whether supplemental training or job aids are required, and ensure that all users, internal and external, are equipped for a smooth transition at go‑live.
For Programs:
Review enterprise‑level training feedback and identify cross‑agency trends. Recommend improvements for stabilization and post‑go‑live support.
For Programs with Agency‑Led Sub‑Projects:
Agencies conduct post‑training surveys and submit results. Enterprise team synthesizes feedback to identify enterprise‑wide improvement areas.
For Projects:
Collect and analyze project‑specific training feedback to confirm user readiness.
