Centrex Services

WaTech will be sunsetting the Centrex Service Dec. 31, 2025. WaTech will no longer accept requests for new Centrex services. Read more information about this change.
WaTech's central office-based telephone service, Centrex, includes free calling within the local calling area, access to the state's long-distance network, and access to the local operator and emergency services. Access to a voice messaging system is available at reduced rates.
WaTech has established contracts for Centrex services with CenturyLink and Frontier. These contracts meet the State requirements for competition and are available for use by customers eligible for WaTech services.

Pre-Service Requirements

To obtain services from WaTech, eligible organizations must first enter into a Master Service Agreement (MSA). See if you qualify for an MSA.

Please use our online Centrex Services order form. When ordering you will need your WaTech Customer ID and account ID. If you are not familiar with these two numbers, please check with the authorized purchasing representative or telecommunications coordinator within your agency.
