OLYMPIA - Washington Technology Solutions (WaTech) Government Affairs Director Connie Michener recently announced that their Internship Program has been selected to serve as a high quality work-based learning program for The National Governors Association Policy Academy.
Work-based learning participants in the program develop, apply, and are assessed on academic, technical, trade, and entrepreneurial skills that support their future career success.
Internship Program Manager Jim Sampson will represent WaTech and serve as the liaison for the Learning Lab. He will partner with the Washington STEM, a Washington nonprofit dedicated to advancing excellence, equity, and innovations in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education for all Washington students. Sampson will also represent the program at the Governor's Summit on Work-Based Learning next spring.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for WaTech to share our best practices. I am proud of the commitment and dedication of our WaTech Internship Program staff," said Michener.
